2026 Itineraries

An elderly woman winding a skein of organically dyed brown cotton thread outdoors,

From our serene base in Luang Prabang—a UNESCO World Heritage jewel nestled beside the Mekong River—you’ll spend unforgettable days immersed in the ancient art of natural dyeing and weaving.

Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned artisan, you’ll work hands-on with cotton and silk, guided by master craftswomen at a traditional textile centre.

Your accommodation? A graceful villa tucked among quiet lanes, just steps from charming cafes and eateries serving Lao and international favourites.

But the journey doesn’t stop there. You’ll next venture deep into the countryside for a village homestay surrounded by rice paddies, where the rhythm of rural life sets the pace. Here, you’ll participate in the cotton indigo dyeing process using natural methods passed down through generations, spin your own thread and weave fabric—an experience as grounding as it is unforgettable.

Our trips are 15 days in length with 10 of those spent working hands-on with natural dyes and fibres, from raw materials to woven cloth. There is also time within each itinerary to soak in local sights and culture.
