Off-site rug cleaning is strongly recommended for oriental rugs and loose woven rugs. Rugs should at no means be cleaned on location like fitted carpets.

We will collect your rug and in return bring it to our dedicated cleaning workshop, where it will receive our very thorough Cleaning methods to obtain maximum soil and spot removal. We are also able to use various cleaning tools, such as dusting grids, that are not available to us off-site, and it enables controlled drying.
We will determine as much as we can about the type of rug and inherent qualities that may affect cleaning. We will outline the expected results and cleaning method. We will come to your home to collect your rug, once completed we will then return your rug at a convienant date thats fits around your busy schedule.
Woven rugs, especially hand knotted rugs, are designed to hide dry soil. We use a variety of techniques to "dust" the rugs from the front and back. This is the most important step in cleaning any rug. When we return rugs they can be to 25 kilos lighter due to dust and soil being removed.
Any potentially difficult spots will be pre-treated with special natural solutions. The fringe is also pre-treated for maximum soil removal. Then the rug goes through the same three step clean as your home carpets, with special attention paid to fringes.
Once the soil is rinsed away, the rug is dried flat or hung to dry in a humidity-controlled environment.
When the rug is dry, it is combed and finished with soft groomers and re-oiled or stain protected if required.
Your rug will then be given a final inspection, then wrapped to protect it from dust and environmental soils and only then we will release it to be safely delivered back to you on your required date and time.
